I think most people who have registered horses use a "barn name" because registered names are usually so awful. My current horse is a Morgan with the relatively nice name of VS Golden Desperado, but he came to me from his breeders at age 3 already...

I totally agree with you. I've seen far too much of this sort of thing myself. I've seen it all across the spectrum from lead line to advanced dressage. It is infuriating and very sad. :o(

How lovely! Been looking at your photos. Your horses look so content and happy. You have a beautiful yard and field setup. Do you have your horses at home? It really looks idyllic. Do you have many rides out? And once again I love the cats. I am a fully fledged cat person.

Suzanne, I love my treeless saddles (I have a general purpose and a dressage - different makes) and so does my horse so it is definately worth looking into.

A chocolate palomino, wow, stunning! I also do dressage with my boy, Bobby and I also couldn't find a saddle to fit such a wide horse. Eventually I learned about the treeless saddles and I bought a Barefoot London Dressage saddle and we haven't looked back. Have you tried anything like that?

Great! There is a post in the forum called Western Riding and that poor post doesn't have a single reply. Can you change that?

Do you ride both English and Western? There are a number of people in this country who would love to learn more about Western riding so it would be great if you could help or if you know someone who could help.

How did you find the site? Please spread the word your side - we could do with more international input!
