Put him in a horse box and come on over!!

There is nothing formal about this and there will be no proper teams. People who want to play the game in that kind of way will have to affiliate with the George people.

Anyone can come along and join in as often or as rarely as they like. The dates will be posted here and probably smsed to all who have expressed interest.

If it tickles your fancy to join this time = then join = can't come next time = we will miss you but it is no train smash.

So = consider yourself IN.

If You need some help with coaches, Belinda(x sprinbok) and me(ex Ep) would be overjoyed to come and help some weekend as we often travel to the tenikwas club to help them, we are at present trying to get a new fun club going in PE as apposed to the highly competitive one that exists already, so if there is anyone in PE who wants to learn contact me Fiona 083 395 3339. Debbie if you need equipment we could possibly collect some old sticks for you. Polocrosse is so much fun thats how I learned to ride. Your nearest club is Teniqua's in Wilderness and Simon the Chairman is an absolute honey. Lots of luck Fee

Thanks so much.

You may well be called in to point the way. At this stage I don't think we will bother Simon with our antics but may well down the line. I doubt that we will ever be seriously competitive but there may be someone who would like to in which case they can move on to one of the clubs.

Thanks for the offer of equipment = that could be useful.

Hope you get yours going in PE.

me too!!!! I think it's great that everyone wants to expand and get involved in more diciplines.
Debbie, do you have sticks?

Reply to This

Not a one.

I have seen them for sale in 2nd hand shops from time to time and the Agri was stocking them once upon a time.

We really only need six so maybe when we have everyone who is interested we could discuss splitting the cost or some such plan????

ha ha amzing when it comes to money no one responds! i forgot until today Wendy mentioned it! What does a stick cost? and are we going to play often enough to warrant buying the kit? what u guys think?

Reply to This

A new stick with a plastic head will set you back around R700-R850. If you guys want 6, get back to me and we can see if we can get you a bulk discount.

Thanks Nevenka

I doubt that anyone is keen enough on the game (the soppy way we would play it) to outlay that kind of money for new kit and seeing that there has been precious little response and we couldn't even field a team it all seems a bit hopeless - mores the pity.
